Uckfield is a small town in the East Sussex district. It is known for its repeated flooding of the River Uck. Tourists are attracted to this location due to its escape to the country feel. Golfers in particular can sit back and relax in the East Sussex National Golf Resort & Spa.
Historically, Uckfield wasn't mentioned in scholar until the thirteenth century, and became a frequent stop off point on the pilgrimage between Canterbury and Lewes.
There are still lots of historic monuments to be found in this town, with Church Street being home to a medieval chapel. The Bridge Cottage, which is now a museum, is known for being the oldest house in Uckfield, with it being built in the 15th century. If you want to step back in time, this is the place to go!
