A civil parish in Hampshire, Tadley's population is around 11,000. Close to the Berkshire border, Tadley is also near the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment where many of Tadley's houses are lived in by its employees.
Tadley doesn't have many large shops but does have other amenities. A library was opened in the 1990s and hosts an annual 'Treacle Fair' due to the legend of Tadley apparently having treacle mines in the village. Tadley doesn't have its own railway station but it is only four miles away from Aldermaston Railway Station and is close to the A340 road.
This picturesque village continues to be an appealing place to live and raise children, especially as it is a very quiet location. Only a few miles away from Basingstoke, many tourists visit Tadley every year.
