Sittingbourne is a town in Kent well located through its proximity to the sea and London, and is rapidly growing as a commuter town. The name Sittingbourne comes from the fact it sits on a stream or a 'bourne', and Chaucer mentioned the town in his Canterbury Tales. Despite it having a population of 55,000 people it has two football teams, Sittingbourne FC and Woodstock Sports FC. It also has many other clubs to get involved with including a rotary club, a running club and a photographic club.
