A border town in the West Midlands, Oswestry is in Shropshire and has had human habitation for hundreds of years. Any visitor that travels to Oswestry will undoubtedly be impressed with the many historical buildings which are still standing in Oswestry. A market has been held in Oswestry since the 12th century and continues to do so. Many notable people originate from Oswestry. The co-creator of the television series 'Peep Show', Jesse Armstrong, was born in Oswestry and so too was golfer Ian Woosnam.
Many attractions are in Oswestry as well such as Whittington Castle which has many artefacts. The Marian Chalice is held at Whittington Castle and is, apparently, the Holy Grail - Indiana Jones needn't keep continue searching any more. The main building of the former railway station, which used to be in Oswestry, still stands and is highly revered.
