The largest town in Monmouthshire is the market town of Abergavenny, located a short 10km drive from the English border. Other notable towns in this most south eastern of Welsh counties include Monmouth and Chepstow. All the towns support a lively tourist trade while being practical places to live and work. A diverse county, Monmouthshire has more than its fair share of beautiful vistas, stunning woodlands, historical castles and manors and first class golf courses.
As a whole, the region is accessible thanks to the M4, M50 and M48 from the south and central areas making it a great place for a short break or family holiday. In the locality, the Offas Dyke Way, the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Black Mountains and the Usk Valley are all within spitting distance making it a fabulous destination for outdoor activities.
