The 323 was released in 1998 and production ran until 2004. During its time it never really became a trend setter in the hatchback market, but thanks to great build quality and a fun drive it makes a reliable family car. The 2.0 litre turbo- diesel is the pick of the range, with flexible performance and good economy, but even the petrol's are refined and reasonably light on fuel. The interior is typically Japanese with a good solid feel and top spec cars are very well equipped. There is plenty of space in both the front and rear and a decent sized boot for added practicality.
