Located just outside the 2012 Olympic Park in London, Leytonstone has reaped the benefits of the huge investment that went into the games. Stratford, where the games were held, has developed into a shopping mecca with a casino, a Westfield shopping centre and Vue cinema. Leytonstone is culturally diverse with the north African and Asian communities providing plenty of exciting cafes and restaurants. Queen Mary University in Mile End makes Leytonstone a great choice to live for students as well as those who work in the city.
Housing is relatively cheap as before the Olympics it was very much a forgotten area of London. It is residential, so for nightlife, Essex to the east is an option or take one of the many buses or the tube into central London, a few stops away.
