The Bedfordshire town of Leighton Buzzard lies on the banks of the River Ouzel, about ten miles south-east of Milton Keynes. Around 35,000 people call Leighton Buzzard home. The town is just west of the A5 and within easy reach of the M1 and Luton Airport. Leighton Buzzard is on the West Coast Mainline and has a direct rail service into London Euston, the journey taking just over half an hour.
The Grand Union Canal runs through the heart of Leighton Buzzard. Twice-weekly markets are held in the town, along with a monthly farmer's market. Other amenities include the Library Theatre, where you can borrow a book or watch a show, and a host of local golf clubs.
Local beauty spots include Tiddenfoot Pit, Linslade Wood and Stockgrove Country Park, while the glorious Chiltern Hills are right on Leighton Buzzard's doorstep.
