The market town of Leatherhead nestles at the foot of the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town is compact, with a population of around 9,000, but offers plenty of space to roam. A good place to start is the delightful 14-arch town bridge built in the 178Os, over the River Mole.
Famous Leatherhead residents include movie legend Sir Michael Caine and also Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. Leatherhead's attractions include its artists' galleries, leisure centre, half-timbered museum and the nearby Chessington World of Adventures.
Served by junction nine of the M25 and rail links to Waterloo and Victoria, Leatherhead offers easy access to London and boasts no-less-than nine dedicated business parks. Leatherhead is home to several major companies such as Unilever and Exon-Mobil, as well as housing a regional office of The Prince's Trust.
