Only eleven miles away from Edinburgh is Kirkcaldy. This town is situated on the east coast of Scotland and was once a major trading port in the 16th century. It still produces linoleum and has a very large town centre which has many shops and a considerable workforce.
Kirkcaldy offers many opportunities to enjoy culture. An art gallery and a museum are in Kirkcaldy. An annual event which takes place in Kirkcaldy is the Links Market which is otherwise referred to as Europe's longest street market. Kirkcaldy also has three public parks which are huge tourist attractions for neighbouring towns and cities that want to enjoy Kirkcaldy's fresh air. Kirkcaldy Bay is a very attractive location and it offers amateur photographers an ideal opportunity to snap a cherished photo whilst the world passes them by.
