The Sedona is a full-size MPV designed to compete with the Chrysler Grand Voyager, and Ford Galaxy among others. It was launched in 1998, and quickly became one of Kia's best selling models. Inside, it was certainly spacious - and the large sliding-doors aided rear-access, but it wasn't as versatile as other MPVs (for example, the rear seats needed to be removed completely to make use of all the space). The engines were good, especially the diesel, but the petrol was incredibly thirsty. The second and latest generation Sedona was launched in 2006. Nowadays, MPVs need to be spacious, stylish and good to drive - the Kia fails on the last two. It's cheap though, nothing else offers as much space for so little cash.
