Today, Kia is top of the pumps with many a fuel-friendly car. Kia Motors Corporation of Seoul, South Korea started life slowly moving from bikes to cars over a number of years. It began as a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycle parts and then bicycles. The motorcycle was added to the range in 1957 and it was until 1970s that Kai began to manufacture the Peugeot 604 and then the Fiat 132. To western ears, the branding and naming of Kia vehicles has come up with some funny-sounding names such as The Bongo truck produced in 1984. Today it makes cars, SUVs, crossovers, minivans and 'future' vehicles but it still has not given up on its acquired taste in names. There is the new Picanto, and the strangely named 'cee'd' (note the lower-case spelling) and the 'pro_cee'd' and even the 'cee'd SW'. What happened to the brand manager working on this project for the mid-sized range?
