Often directly linked with its larger neighbour Brighton, Hove is a town of approximately 90,000 located on the south coast of England in East Sussex. With its fashionable seafront and beach, Hove (like Brighton) is a summer hot spot for English city-dwellers.
Hove has recently seen regeneration of its town centre, resulting in growth of the retail district. Major companies located in Hove include snack food distributor Palmer and Harvey and the headquarters of Mace convenience stores.
All the nearby sights of Brighton aside, Hove offers its own attractions to residents and visitors, including stately Marlborough Court and Hove Museum & Art Gallery, the gorgeous Regency architecture scattered throughout the town, as well as countless restaurants, pavement cafes, and pubs and clubs for those interested in nightlife.
It's easy to get around Hove on foot, but if walking doesn't appeal, local bus services are excellent and easy to navigate with the help of an online journey planner. Rail services to London are frequent, and go direct to the capital without passing through Brighton first, if required.
