Greasby, with a population of 10,000, is a small-town community on the Wirral, closely-linked to other towns on the peninsula. It's located just a 20-minute drive to the centre of Liverpool and a 10-minute drive in the opposite direction to Hoylake Beach on the Irish Sea. Where jobs are concerned, nearby Liverpool's economy is dominated by service sector industries, such as finance, education, health, and insurance.
Attractions around the Wirral include Ness Botanic Gardens, Lady Lever Art Gallery, and an assortment of countryside destinations, including several independent farms.
Located close to Liverpool city centre and the historic city of Chester, Greasby offers an excellent home base from which to explore the North-West of England. Liverpool offers the Tate's only branch outside London, the Walker Art Gallery, the newly-opened and highly-rated Museum of Liverpool, first-rate shopping in Liverpool One Shopping Centre, a wealth of dining and nightlife options, and more. Chester is an excellent destination for days out as well, with its profusion of heritage and historic sites.
