Gosport is a town of 80,000 situated on the southern coast of England, across the harbour from Portsmouth. The economy of Gosport is diverse, including light manufacturing, business, and marine sectors.
With 24 miles of beautiful waterfront, it's only natural that many of Gosport's attractions are sea-themed. The Museum of Diving, Royal Navy Submarine Museum, and Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower all share the maritime spirit with visitors. On the beach, there are loads of water activities on offer sailing, fishing, swimming, and more. Spinnaker Tower is an entertainment centre complete with cinema, designer outlets, bowling alley, and varied dining options. Hop on a catamaran to the Isle of Wight for a day trip, or just enjoy relaxing on the beach.
Although Gosport lacks a rail station, the pedestrian ferry to Portsmouth operates regularly. Gosport itself has excellent cycle paths and most residents live within walking distance of an open green space.
