Epping has a population of around 11,000 residents. It is a market town and a civil district in Epping Forest in the district of Essex, England. Although it is being served by London Underground the town has retained its rural elements too as it is surrounded by Epping Forest and working farmland. The town also retained its weekly market held every Monday. The Epping Butter which was quite famous is no longer made but the famous Epping sausages are still made by the church's Butchers.
There are many old buildings e.g. Beulah Lodge in Lindsey Street, the Parish Church of Epping and the beautiful group of cottages along the High Street while the most prominent building these days is the District Council's Office with its clock tower.
Epping's has played in the Isthmian League and Epping Football Club is presently playing in the Essex Olympian League. The former professional football players- Glenn Hoddle and Dennis Rofe, as well as many actors, actresses and models including Nick Berry, James Buckley, Bradley Walsh, Jessie Wallace and Lisa Snowdon, live here.
