It's not easy to make a "cool" MPV, but Citroën seem to have mastered it. The C4 Picasso is by far one of the most stylish MPVs on the road today, (although this can't be said for the bigger C4 Grand Picasso, which loses some of the smaller car's charm). It was launched in 2007 as a replacement for the popular Xsara Picasso, with which it coexisted for a time. The new model shares key components with the Peugeot 307 and conventional C4 hatch, but is no worse for it. The cabin is spacious, light and airy, which added to the comfy ride makes the Picasso a great long-distance cruiser. Unfortunately, its handling is as bad as its looks are good, and residual values are weak.
