The Midlands town of Cannock is home to around 60,000 people. This former mining community is handy for the M6, with good rail links to nearby Birmingham and its international airport.
The town centre has a fair selection of shops, with some independent traders and many high street brands. An open-air market is held on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Cannock offers a wide choice of pubs and restaurants and plenty of chippies.
Local attractions include music and shows at the Prince of Wales Centre and ice-skating at the Cannock Leisure Centre. There's a park and a municipal golf course, too. You can relive the area's industrial heritage at the nearby Chasewater Steam Railway or the Museum of Cannock Chase.
The beautiful woodlands of Cannock Chase are on the doorstep an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering 26 square miles.
