Widely known for its bottled spring water, Buxton is a town that offers beautiful architecture and great local events. Buxton is a spa town rich in limestone and the other minerals that make its water refreshing and healthy. The water, bottled and sold by the Buxton Mineral Water Company, comes from the geothermal spring, St Ann's Well and is available for people to simply fill up their bottles.
Aside from this, Buxton is a sporty town with a football and rugby club, a golf course an Army Cadet Force and sports centres.
The University of Derby has its Devonshire campus in Buxton so students looking for nightlife can go to the Buxton Opera House for live arts or take the train to Stockport or Manchester, which takes under an hour.
