This small town of only 4,500 people was founded by the bishops of Hereford in 1100. Despite not having a big population the town is very active and have a regular line-up of festivals and other live events. The Bromyard folk festival is worth waiting for, with 170 hours of music covering all genres of folk and country music. Just as tantalising are the food stalls which feature West Indian cuisine, wood fired Italian pizza, local ice creams and more. The Bomyard Gala is another annual event which includes a bandstand, children's rides and games, a car boot sale and other Arena entertainment.
Other attractions are the Lower Brockhampton moated farmhouse and St Peters Church with parts of it dating back to the 14 century. The Conquest theatre is where you can catch some live entertainment from opera, ballet and theatre to concerts.
