The West Sussex seaside town of Bognor Regis is home to around 23,000 people. It benefits from a fast rail link to London Victoria, approximately 70 miles away. The town bills itself as "the sunshine capital" of Britain, claiming to average more sunny days than anywhere else in the country.
Local attractions include Bognor's Blue Flag beaches, a grade II listed pier, the town museum, an array of pubs, clubs and restaurants, the Alexandra Theatre, the Picturedrome Cinema and regular open-air markets in the town square. A Butlins holiday resort is a major presence in the town.
Bognor offers green space in Hotham Park, which is also home to tennis courts, a putting green, crazy golf, a boating lake and a miniature railway. Bersted Brooks nature reserve lies just to the north of the town, boasting 19 hectares of natural beauty.
