The 7-Series is BMW's flagship - in top spec' trim, it's the most expensive BMW out there. It was released in 1977, and now, via a starring role in the Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" in 1997, is in its fifth generation. The styling of today's variant isn't as striking as the previous model, which heralded a new styling era for the carmaker under Chis Bangle - in spite of this, it was the most popular 7-Series yet. The complex iDrive system was a turn-off too, it was unnecessarily complicated and difficult to get to grips with. The current model's evolution of the technology is much more user friendly. In general, this latest model is great to drive, well built, and is the greenest luxury car on sale.
