Bexley is an ancient parish of Kent, but has been known as a part of Greater London since 1965. It has a high employment rate with workers earning much higher than the national average and just a touch below their counterparts in London. To the north flows the Thames and residents of Bexley borough are lucky to be living in one of London's greenest boroughs, with over 100 parks and commons to enjoy. The population of the borough sits at around 232,000 and they have easy access to transport links, supermarkets and shopping centres, especially the high class Bluewater Shopping Centre. There is an eclectic mix of new and old with many grade two listed buildings in the area such as St Mary the Virgin Church with its distinct spire. Schools are in abundance and are of a good standard and family house prices are reasonable. With all that it has to offer, Bexley can provide city living with a country feel.
