The historic West Sussex town of Arundel with a population of just over 3,500 is less than 50 miles from London and close to the South Downs. A busy market town in the 19th century, the River Arun runs through the town, which is dominated by the Norman-built Arundel Castle. Arundel is also home to the seat of the Bishop of Arundel and Brighton at Arundel Cathedral. Local attractions include the Amberley Working Museum, the town museum, and Fitzalan Chapel. A popular tourist destination with the Castle the main draw Arundel also hosts a busy Farmers Market, which has been running now for more than a decade resuming after some 80 years.
